Automotive Cybersecurity: Standards, Threat Analysis, and Secure Vehicle Systems This one-day workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to Automotive Cybersecurity, focusing on vehicle network vulnerabilities, security standards, and secure ECU design. Participants will gain insights into modern cyber threats in connected vehicles and explore practical approaches to securing automotive systems. The programme integrates theoretical concepts with hands-on exposure, enabling participants to understand and apply cybersecurity practices in automotive domains aligned with industry standards. Organized by the Department of Automobile Engineering, PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, in association with ANCIT Consulting. Sessions will be handled by industry experts. Course contents - Introduction to automotive electronics architecture (ECUs, CAN, Ethernet) - Automotive cybersecurity fundamentals and attack vectors - Overview of ISO 21434 and UNECE R155 compliance requirements - Cryptography basics: encryption, hashing, and authentication mechanisms - Secure ECU design: secure boot and firmware protection - Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment (TARA) methodology - Hands-on session: CAN communication and attack simulation (spoofing, replay) - Future trends: Software Defined Vehicles (SDV), OTA updates, and AI in cybersecurity Course outcomes - Understand vehicle cybersecurity architecture and potential attack surfaces - Interpret key automotive cybersecurity standards and regulations - Apply basic security mechanisms in ECU design - Perform preliminary Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment (TARA) - Analyze vehicle network vulnerabilities using CAN-based simulation Eligibility Open to faculty members, research scholars, PG & UG students from AICTE approved engineering colleges, and industrial personnel.
